If you absolutely, positively can’t wait to purchase a new iPhone, Best Buy is running a nice deal for the Labor Day holiday weekend in the United States.
According to CNET, the electronics retailer will be offering half off the price of a 16GB or 32GB iPhone 5 to users who trade in a working iPhone 4/4S without water damage or a cracked screen. The promotion will run from Friday, Aug. 30 to Monday, Sept. 2.
That means buyers can walk out with a 16GB iPhone 5 for $100 and a 32GB handset for $150. Only Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint versions are eligible.
As usual, with these types of promotions, users will need to be eligible for upgrade pricing. And, what a surprise, you’ll have to sign another two-year contract as well.
With the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C expected to be unveiled in a little less than two weeks, Best Buy looks to be trying to clear out as much stock as possible to make room for the new handsets.
As we reported a little earlier this week, Apple Retail Stores are also getting into the trade-in game soon. The iPhone Reuse and Recycle Program will launch at selected locations tomorrow and will receive a larger rollout in September.
