Collaborating On Group Photo Albums Is So Much Easier With The Newly Updated Cluster
August 23, 2013
The group photo-sharing app Cluster has just completed a round of venture funding resulting in $1.6 million. At the same time, a new update has been issued to the app, resulting in Cluster 1.0.
You see, Cluster was launched late last February at version 0.9. Now, the app has apparently been improved well enough to merit a 1.0 designation.
But before we proceed to what's new in Cluster 1.0, perhaps a brief overview of the app is in order.
Basically, Cluster offers an easy way for you to share and collect photos with others. Cluster automatically sorts photos based on location and timing and organizes them into special albums called "clusters." It then lets you invite your family and friends to add to and comment on clusters.
And now, Cluster 1.0 lets you do more with your clusters and the photos they contain.
For one thing, you can now upload photos from any album. For another, you can now download photos in high resolution.
Cluster 1.0 also features an activity feed and threaded conversations. It also allows you to see your friends' albums and lets you ask your friends to invite you to collaborate on them.
But perhaps the most notable change in the newly updated app is its revamped interface, which, as you can compare with our preview video here, is clearly inspired by iOS 7 in general and iOS 7's redesigned Photos app in particular.
Cluster 1.0 is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later.
