Marvel Unlimited Doubles Cap On Offline Reading, Supports Browsing By Publication Date

August 27, 2013
The official iOS app of Marvel Unlimited, Marvel's digital comics subscription service, has just undergone its second major mutation. That is to say, it has just received its second major update. Launched last March, Marvel Unlimited offers readers access to a huge collection of Marvel's comic books for $10 per month or $60 per year, with support for offline reading. The app received its first major update last April. That update introduced monthly editorial picks, full-screen reading, Marvel Comics app integration, and social media sharing. Now, Marvel Unlimited's second major update is said to be its most-requested app update yet as it doubles the number of issues that can be read offline when not connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network. Previously, Marvel Unlimited allowed up to six titles only to be read offline. Now, the app lets you allocate up to 12 titles for offline reading. In addition, the latest update to Marvel Unlimited brings support for browsing comics by publication date, enabling you to find titles from years past. Initially, the app supported browsing by character, creator, comics event, and series only. Also including various bug fixes and performance improvements, the new version of Marvel Unlimited is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.1 or later. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
