OverDrive Media Console 3.0 Features iOS 7-Inspired Interface, Syncing And More

August 20, 2013
OverDrive Media Console has just been updated to version 3.0. Released back in April 2010, OverDrive Media Console is an app that lets you read e-books and listen to audiobooks borrowed from your favorite library. The app is linked to the catalogs of more then 22,000 libraries worldwide. So, if you're a book lover and you have a valid account with a participating library, school, or other institution, it's highly recommended that you use OverDrive Media Console. Especially now that OverDrive Media Console has just been improved significantly through its 3.0 update. Most notably, OverDrive Media Console 3.0 features a new iOS 7-inspired interface, with simplified home and book menus that are just a swipe or a tap away. OverDrive Media Console 3.0 also introduces a long-overdue feature: cross-device syncing. Now, you can sync your bookmarks and current position within books across your iDevices. Morevoer, the update adds support for variable-speed audiobook playback. As a result, you can now listen to audiobooks at rates ranging from half of the normal speed to twice of the same. Also including tutorial screens for first-time users, OverDrive Media Console 3.0 is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later. OverDrive Media Console is included in AppAdvice's Apps for Book Lovers and Best Universal Audiobook Apps AppLists.
