Path Opens API To New Partner Apps Including Over, Strava And WordPress
August 13, 2013
Path has just opened its API to a number of third-party services, thereby enabling you to easily share content from other apps to the "personal" social networking app.
Initially, the Path API was accessible only to Nike, whose Nike+ Running and Nike+ FuelBand allow sharing of daily workouts on Path. Now, though, Path has expanded its API access to support other developers and their respective apps and services:
To start, we have hand-selected developers we admire for their innovation and quality, as well as a few that have been most requested by our users. From more workout moments, to photo moments, to thought moments, we have worked closely with these developers to ensure that sharing to Path is a seamless and beautiful experience.Unsurprisingly, most of the apps that have just been integrated with Path are photo apps: Over, PicMix, PicFrame, Pic Stitch, Pic Collage, papelook, Manga-Camera, Otaku Camera, and Miil. But there's also a video app in the form of Viddy. WordPress and The Bible App are also among Path's new partner apps, while Strava Cycling joins Nike+ Running and Nike+ FuelBand as Path's newest workout buddy. Path integration is already in effect in some of these apps, and it's set to become available in the others in the coming weeks.
