Popular Imo Messenger App Finally Introduces Long-Awaited Video Calling Feature

August 28, 2013
About a year ago, Imo Messenger was updated with support for voice calling. Now, the popular messaging app has been updated with support for video calling. That's right: at long last, you can now make video calls with your family and friends using Imo Messenger — and high-quality ones at that on 3G, 4G/LTE, or Wi-Fi. To start a video call in the app, you simply have to find the contact you want to hold a video call with, tap the video icon opposite his or her name, and tap the video icon in the drawer that opens. The Imo Messenger team notes:
Once in the video call, you will see options at the bottom of the screen where you can turn off your camera, mute your microphone, or go back to your chats. Tap the screen once to show/hide call options.
Along with support for video calls, the ability to share status updates aka "broadcasts" to Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn is introduced in the new version of Imo Messenger. The new version of Imo Messenger is available now in the App Store for free. Note that this version effectively merges the previously separate iPhone and iPad editions of Imo Messenger into one universal app. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
