Popular news reading app Pulse has just been updated to make it easier for readers to find content.
First up, version 3.2 offers a redesigned experience to help discover new publications, channels, and influencers. All users need to do is tap the new Add Content button to begin.
Before adding a publication to a Pulse section, readers can now also tap the title to browse and read stories from the source. Tapping the "+" button adds the source to your feed.
The search function has also been revamped. Users can search by interest as well as source title to see the most relevant publications.
Finally, the update also does a nice job recommending content to read with the Pulse Picks section. The company's blog explains the feature:
Sometimes you just need a little inspiration—that’s where we come in. The Pulse team scours the ‘Net and the news, then specially curates the Recommended sources at the top of our new content catalog. We’ve gathered new Pulse additions, exciting blogs and publications, event coverage, and more in one simple spot. Check it out every week!Pulse is a universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for free.
