Rev Up And Perform Gravity-Defying Aerial Stunts In Gameloft's Asphalt 8: Airborne

August 22, 2013
Electronic Arts has just released a new major update to Real Racing 3. But not to be outdone, Gameloft has just released the latest installment in its popular Asphalt racing game series. Succeeding Asphalt 7: Heat, which was released in June last year, the new game is, of course, called Asphalt 8. And for reasons that will be made clear later, the new game has the full title Asphalt 8: Airborne. Asphalt 8: Airborne features eight seasons and 180 events in the Career mode, new Infected and Drift Gate modes, and a detailed damage system. It also boasts impressive new visuals enhanced by next-generation shaders, real-time geometry reflection, and other cool effects. The game also showcases new cars from top licensed manufacturers, including Lamborghini Veneno, Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari FXX, and Pagani Zonda R. As well, it lets you race through new exotic locations, including Venice, French Guiana, Iceland, and the Nevada Desert. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Asphalt 8: Airborne also features licensed music from the likes of Bloc Party, Mutemath, and The Crystal Method — music that is sure to have your heart racing. But the feature that gives the game its subtitle is the integration of a new physics engine that allows for dynamic aerial stunts. As a result, you can become airborne by going off ramps, performing barrel rolls, and doing 360-degree jumps and other gravity-defying manuevers. Asphalt 8: Airborne is available now in the App Store for $0.99. Tipping the ones-and-zeros scale at nearly 900MB, The game is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later.
