Score! NBC Sports Live Extra App To Stream Every English Premier League Match In US
August 14, 2013
The new season of the Premier League, the English professional league for association football clubs, is set to kick off on Saturday, Aug. 17. And if you're in the U.S. and you're intent on watching every match of the biggest football league — "football" being the British term for "soccer" (see parodic ad below) — in the world, you're in luck. That's because NBC has got you covered.
Thanks to a new three-year, $250 million deal with the league, NBC has replaced ESPN and Fox Soccer as the exclusive broadcaster of the Premier League in the U.S. And as reported by 148Apps, the network is going to make every match available to watch via its flagship channel, its official website, NBC Sports, and for the first time ever, live streaming in the NBC Sports Live Extra app.

Note, though, that in order to stream Premier League matches and other live video content on NBC Sports Live Extra, you must first authenticate via TV Everywhere. NBC Sports Live Extra is currently available for Comcast Xfinity, Verizon Fios, Cablevision, Suddenlink, Mediacom, Bend, and Grande customers.
NBC Sports Live Extra is available in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later.
