TuneIn Radio 4.0 Features Enhanced Now Playing Screen And Improved Facebook Login
August 27, 2013
The popular Internet radio streaming app TuneIn Radio has just been updated to version 4.0.
For an update that's designated with a whole version number, TuneIn Radio 4.0 is, admittedly, not so loaded with new features. It does, however, promise an "enhanced Now Playing screen experience," albeit for the app's iPhone and iPod touch edition only.
Following its 4.0 update, TuneIn Radio for iPhone and iPod touch now lets you swipe up on the Now Playing screen to see recommendations, including related stations and genres, and recent stations. Previously, you had to swipe to the left to see recommendations and to the right to see recent stations.
In TuneIn Radio for iPad, recommendations and recent stations remain accessible in the Now Playing screen in their tabbed section along with favorite stations.
TuneIn Radio 4.0 also features improved Facebook login for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Using iOS' native Facebook integration, the new version of the app lets you connect your TuneIn Radio account to Facebook, allowing you to access your favorites across multiple devices.
Also including some bug fixes, TuneIn Radio 4.0 is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later.
The app's previous major update introduced TuneIn Live for iPhone and iPod touch. That update was issued last May, three months after TuneIn Live was introduced for iPad.
