WriteDown 2.0 Features iCloud Syncing, iOS 7-Inspired UI And More Improvements
August 21, 2013
WriteDown has just been updated to version 2.0.
Released just last month, WriteDown is, as noted by Christine in her review of the app here on AppAdvice, "a Markdown text editor for your iPhone with some powerful features." And now, thanks to the app's new 2.0 update, those powerful features have just been increased with the addition of several notable enhancements.
The most notable among the new features in WriteDown 2.0 is support for iCloud, in addition to the app's existing Dropbox, Evernote, and Google Drive syncing options. With this new feature, your WriteDown notes are automatically synced with iCloud if "Document & Data" is turned on in the iOS Settings app.
WriteDown 2.0 also introduces a live word counter feature, support for emailing and copying a note's HTML content, and an option to search and replace words.
Sporting a new iOS 7-inspired interface enhanced with transition animations, WriteDown 2.0 is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $0.99 download. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.1 or later.
The newly updated app also features some background process improvements, performance enhancements, and bug fixes, including one that resolves the issue of disappearing text when returning from the background.
