SkyJuke by Cody Cox (Free, 8.7 MB): Use this feature-rich jukebox to make your future parties rock even more by offering everyone a chance to spin their own tunes. Like physical units, visitors' selected songs are added to the queue, however, that's as close to traditional as things get. Truly designed for the connected age, guests can choose songs from anyone's library, vote on songs, plus check out each other's music-related biographies and chat digitally, if interested. As a host, you have control over playback, may also vote, and adjust several session options, including to leave access freely open or require consent to join, number of song selection limitation, whether to allow voting, and the output type. Party mode results in only the host outputting music, whereas Group mode sends the tunes to every connected devices. The app works via Wi-Fi and does require a device-specific profile setup, which does not appear to be registered online. A $0.99 in-app purchase is required to disable an ad banner. NOTE: In testing, I did experience a few second delay during Group mode.

Skip-Bo™ by Magmic Inc. ($1.99, 36.3 MB): People of nearly any age can enjoy casual entertainment with this single player version digital version of the family card game. Despite looking more complex than games similar titles, the rules are actually quite easy and minimal. Each person is dealt 30 cards with the remainder becoming a draw stack. Your goal is to deplete all of your own cards by adding to any of the four sequentially numbered pool stacks. If you obtain any, Skip-Bo cards work as wilds. When you can't make a move, a card is set aside in one of your four discard piles, which may be accessed later. Basically, think of it as Klondike meets Uno. The game features 2-D graphics, charming music, nine AI opponents spanning three skill levels, and a global leaderboard.
