Apple’s iOS 7 Is Now Installed On 250 Million Devices

The adoption rate for iOS 7 has passed 70 percent. This comes just 27 days after Apple first released the update on Sept. 18. As a comparison, it took 30 days for iOS 6 to reach 61 percent, according to Fortune.
According to MixPanel’s “iOS 7 adoption” screen, iOS 7 is now installed on 70.86 percent of iOS devices. Last year’s version, iOS 6, remains on just over a quarter of devices, while older iOS versions account for 3.61 percent.
On Sept. 23, Tim Cook announced that iOS 7 downloads had passed 200 million within an active device base of 350 million units. Fortune notes that this means that as of Monday, Oct. 14, 250 million were running iOS 7.
