Marvin E-Reading App Updated With New Sharing Capabilities And Other Improvements

October 30, 2013
The feature-packed e-reading app Marvin has just been updated with, well, even more features. For the most part, the latest identical updates to the iPhone and iPad editions of Marvin are concerned with sharing books. With the new versions of Marvin for iPhone and iPod touch and Marvin for iPad, you can now share books using AirDrop. You can now also send books to other apps, including ePub-compatible e-reading apps such as iBooks, Kobo, Nook, and Readmill. Furthermore, you can now send and upload books to cloud services such as Dropbox and Copy. Note, though, that sending books to cloud services requires their corresponding iOS apps to be installed on your iDevice. To share books from Marvin, just swipe left on a book in your library, tap the "Share" button, and select the "Send to..." option. The new versions of Marvin for iPhone and iPod touch and Marvin for iPad also include freshened-up theme pack colors, auto-detection of other OPDS services in addition to Calibre, and redesigned bottom menu bars. Also including various bug fixes, the new versions of Marvin for iPhone and iPod touch and Marvin for iPad are available now in the App Store. Marvin for iPhone and iPod touch is available for $4.99, while Marvin for iPad is available for free.
