Official 500px App For iOS Updated With New Design And Other Improvements

October 5, 2013
The official iOS app of the premium photo-sharing platform 500px has just become even more beautiful with its new, iOS 7-inspired update. "We've made 500px for iOS an even better way to find your inspiration and to show off your best work," says the 500px team in the update's release notes. "With an all-new visual design, the world's best photography fills every screen from edge to edge, making 500px feel right at home in iOS." In addition, the latest update to 500px for iOS lets you swipe any comment to reply to it or to like it and promote it to the Top Comments section. The app is available as a universal download for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. But 500px's update also brings a couple of new enhancements that are exclusive to Apple's popular tablet. One is an improved photo details drawer that shows each person who has liked and favorited a photo. And the other is an improved Flow stream that shows all of your friends' avatars alongside their likes, favorites, and comments. The new version of 500px is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later. If you want more 500px goodness on your iDevice, make sure to check out the Web article discovery app Vu, which has just been updated with, among other enhancements, location- and weather-specific photos powered by 500px.
