SlowCam Lets You Record Slow Motion Videos In Real Time On Any iOS 7 Device

October 3, 2013
Don't have an iPhone 5s but want to shoot videos in glorious slo-mo? Then just download the newly updated SlowCam in the App Store. Compatible with iOS 7.0 or later, SlowCam lets you record in high-frame-rate slow motion by simply tapping and holding its "Slow Motion" button. Even more simply, following its first update, you can set the process to require just a tap to start slo-mo recording. Launched just a week ago as an app optimized for iPhone and iPod touch only, SlowCam has now also been updated with native iPad support. Note that SlowCam always uses the maximum allowable frame rate for each iDevice, as imposed by its iOS and hardware limitations. For iPhone 5s, the supported frame rate is 120 fps. For iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, and iPad mini, it's 60 fps. And for other iOS 7-compatible devices, it's 30 fps. SlowCam also includes the following features:
  • Smooth transition from normal speed to Slow Motion
  • Slide Zoom button to zoom in/out (iPhone 5+)
  • Set Focus/Exposure point together or separately (double tap to reset)
  • Rendering in background - you can record next video even when the previous is being rendered
  • Saving video in Camera Roll
  • Torch
Also including some bug fixes, the new version of SlowCam is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $1.99 download. SlowCam is developed by Lucky Clan, the same studio behind ArtStudio and Top Camera, among many other iOS apps. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
