Costume Quest by Double Fine Productions, Inc. ($4.99, 612.5 MB): The acclaimed Halloween-themed role-playing game finally goes mobile, providing the entire bag of goodies comfortably in your hand. However, accessing that treat-filled treasure isn't going to be easy, though victory shall be sweeter. Along with competing kids, a lame-o sibling, and holdout houses, evil Repugians now threaten the otherwise happily haunted holiday. Of course, you're not scared. In fact, this is the perfect time to do some old school trick-or-treating on their candy... craze ceasing behavior. Set the politeness aside and suit up in your strongest attire, such as that missile firing autobot costume, while recruiting others for the cause. It's going to be a long night. The game features cartoony 3-D graphics, wonderfully diverse soundtrack, story-driven play with cutscenes and constant humor, three environments, boss-like battles, single finger control and reflex-based combat system, plus Game Center achievements.
KAMI by State of Play Games ($0.99, 40.3 MB): Stimulate your mind while relaxing everything else by getting immersed in this color-based puzzler. Beautifully crafted of folded paper, each level begins as a multi-colored pattern, which you must convert into a single color through the fewest actions. Doing so is something like magic. Select a color at the bottom of the screen and then tap on an area. Immediately, the squares transform, continuing until they intersect a different color, therefore, the order in which colors are dispersed becomes essential. A good approach typically involves solving the sequence backwards, converting smaller areas first to unleash large cascades during final moves. The game features elegant 3-D graphics, calm instrumental soundtrack, 36 levels, medal-style rating system, and Game Center achievements.
