November 12, 2013
This week, Uppercut Games is set to make another epoch-making turn in iOS gaming as the sequel to its acclaimed Epoch game gears up for launch in the App Store.
First announced last July, the sequel is simply called Epoch 2. And it continues the post-apocalyptic robot combat shooter saga that began with its predecessor:
EPOCH has trekked across a war-ravaged country to find the one person he was programmed to protect: the Princess, Amelia. Now he must follow a final, desperate lead to reach her, with the two warring robot armies of Omegatroniks and Alphetekk standing in his way. But what surprises await EPOCH when the Princess is finally located? And what will she make of the world she wakes up to?Take a look at the epic trailer for Epoch 2: If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Aside from its impressive graphics (which look even more advanced than Epoch's), Epoch 2 features a significantly expanded world, new weapons, new enemies, new tactics, and a new mystery to solve. Epoch 2 is scheduled to be released in the App Store on Thursday, Nov. 14. Epoch remains available in the App Store for $2.99. Released a couple of years ago, Epoch was last updated a couple of weeks ago with iOS 7 compatibility, improved character shadow for iPhone 5s, and a new Chasm Arena map, among other enhancements.
