Shipping Estimates For 16GB, 32GB Wi-Fi Retina iPad mini Now Also 5-10 Days

Following sustained demand for the iPad mini with Retina display, shipping estimates for the tablet's Wi-Fi only 16GB and 32GB models are now five to 10 business days.
Up until now, the lower-priced second-generation iPad mini models, in both space gray and white, have been shipping in one to three business days.
In fact, this was the case back when the Retina display-equipped iPad mini first launched, and remained so in the following weeks.
Of course, this came as something of a surprise. Apple chief executive officer Tim Cook previously indicated that the Cupertino, Calif. company could struggle to meet demand for the iPad mini with Retina display, yet the small-size tablet maintained reasonable shipping estimates following its release.
Now, however, all second-generation iPad mini models are shipping in five to 10 business days, over in the Apple Online Store.
As more customers visit the Apple Online Store to make holiday purchases and to place Black Friday orders, it's also likely that shipping estimates for the tablet could further increase.
In the Apple Online Store, prices for Apple's iPad mini with Retina display start at $399. Though this price could be slightly decreased as part of next week's Black Friday, it's worth noting that last year, the first-generation iPad mini did not receive a Black Friday discount.
The higher-priced and larger-sized iPad Air is shipping in five to seven business days, and starts at $499.
If you're planning on picking up a new iPad in time for the holidays, we'd recommend you place an order soon, regardless of the iDevice or model.
