Simple Currency Converter Banca Updated With Automatic Currency Population And More
November 23, 2013
The simple currency conversion app Banca has just received a new update that includes a new major feature.
The new major feature in question comes in the form of automatic currency population. Now, every time you start Banca, the app picks up your location and determines the country you're in. It then automatically sets the currency used in that country. If, however, the currency for that country is not in Banca's list, it is nonetheless automatically added.
This new feature is likely to be a boon to you especially if you frequently travel from country to country.
Now, if you're one of those mobile device users who are particularly concerned about keeping their location private, developer Aleksandar Vacic points out that in the case of Banca, "your location is used exclusively for the described functionality, nothing else."
The latest update to Banca also adds a quick and easy way to clear all values on the screen: just long-press on the delete key. It also introduces a new URL scheme, prefixed with bancacc://, for use in Launch Center Pro and other similar apps.

Furthermore, it adds a demo video (shown above) in the app's support section and fixes the following bugs:
The new version of Banca is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $1.99 download. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later. Banca was completely redesigned for iOS 7 through its update earlier this month. That update also added full support for app state preservation. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
