Winery Passport 2.0 Features Map Search, Wish List, Profile Badges And More
November 24, 2013
The mobile wine tour companion app Winery Passport has just stamped its own passport toward version 2.0.
Pre-2.0, Winery Passport was updated early last month with, among other improvements, a new design for iOS 7. Well, Winery Passport 2.0 takes that design even further. BackBurner Digital, the developer of the app, notes:
Once again, we revised the Winery Passport design. This is the third iteration of what is hopefully the final presentation for the near future. What's really important to us is simplicity and we believe we've accomplished that with this latest interface.Winery Passport 2.0 also sees the addition of map search to the options for discovering wineries, which serves as an alternative to the existing nearby search function. Also, state search has been renamed "Locations" since international wineries are now included in the app as well. And if there are certain wineries you're planning on visiting, you can now save those wineries to your Wish List. Make sure to visit those wineries, and other wineries for that matter, to earn unique profile badges, which are now offered in Winery Passport 2.0. There are 13 badges in total, ranging from "First-Timer" for one stamp to "Sommelier" for 100 stamps. Also including various bug fixes and tweaks, Winery Passport 2.0 is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or later.
