Archos To Showcase Range Of Connected Objects For Self And Home At CES 2014

December 31, 2013
Archos, the French consumer electronics company, has just teased its range of "connected objects" set to be showcased at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Archos' so-called connected objects, which use Bluetooth LE connectivity, are grouped into two categories: Archos Connected Self and Archos Connected Home, either of which works in conjunction with its official app for iOS and Android. The Archos Connected Self app connects with the company's "connected self" devices to provide key metrics related to the user's health and activity. These devices include the Archos Connected Scale, the Archos Blood Pressure Monitor, and the Archos Activity Tracker. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. As for Archos Connected Home, it's an ecosystem of "connected home" devices managed using the Archos Smart Home app for iOS and Android or the Android-based Smart Home tablet. These devices include a mini cam, a motion ball, a movement tag, a weather tag, and a smart plug. There's also the Archos Weather Station, which connects with an official app of its own and provides indoor and outdoor information including temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide levels. As mentioned, Archos' connected objects are compatible with both iOS and Android.
