Halfbrick Studios' Band Stars To Reach The US App Store Tomorrow

Halfbrick Studios, the developer behind countless popular games for Apple's iOS, is set to bring its latest creation to the U.S. App Store this week. After soft-launching the game, Band Stars, in the Australian App Store back in August, the developer is finally ready to doll out some “international love” and launch the anticipated application around the world.
Confirming the news in an update to its website, the Australia-based Halfbrick noted that the application, which has been developed in partnership with Six Foot Kid, will reach our iDevices on Thursday, Dec. 6. But what can we expect from the forthcoming app?
As we explained in our original article, “Band Stars is a Kairosoft-style freemium simulation game that has you forming a band, hitting the studio, and recording music to reach the top of the charts.” Indeed, fame and fortune await iDevice users in Band Stars: as Halfbrick expains online, gamers can progress through local, national, and global charts; there are more than 50 “super-cool” Band Stars characters to meet, and over 200 challenges feature in the app.
Halfbrick adds: “It doesn’t matter what type of music you love, Band Stars features loads of genres – pop, rock, metal, urban, electronica, jazz, punk, country, and even world music! Join the phenomenon now!”

As mentioned, Band Stars will be reaching the U.S. App Store tomorrow, on Dec. 6. The application will be free to download, and is optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
