New Faded Photo-Editing App Shines Bright With Film-Inspired Filters And More

December 21, 2013
If you'd like your photos to evoke the beauty and nostalgia of classic film, consider downloading the newly released Faded photo-editing app for iPhone and iPod touch. Developed by Vintage Noir, Faded is packed with a lot of photo-editing features. Foremost among these is its collection of 70 film-inspired filters, 34 of which are free while 36 are premium filters available via in-app purchase. "Our main goal was to give people tools to express themselves and make their photos truly unique," said Faded lead designer Tyler Ramsey, one half of the Vintage Noir duo, the other being Drew Ramsey. "We set out to create the best photo app in the App Store. But my brother and I grew up in California so we thought it would be fun to give a nod to Hollywood too." If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. And true to its Hollywood roots, Faded is also filled with action. Or actions, that is. In the app, an action is a preset of custom adjustments that can be easily applied to personalize any photo. Faded also offers a variety of effects, overlays, and camera tools. Of course, like any good photo-editing app, it provides options for sharing your enhanced images. In Faded's case, in addition to saving your edited photos in high resolution to your device's library, you can easily share them via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, Tumblr, Dropbox, Evernote, and email. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later, Faded is available now in the App Store for $0.99. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
