Philips Hue Lighting System Companion App Gets Redesigned For iOS 7
December 16, 2013
Philips Hue has just been updated for iOS 7.
Philips Hue is the official iOS companion app of the Wi-Fi-connected lighting system of the same name. With the app, you can control the system's lights by adjusting not only their on and off state but also their tone, contrast, and color.
Released in October last year, Philips Hue has now been redesigned for iOS 7, which was launched last September. As a result, the app now looks considerably simpler and flatter, with nary a textured button or raised UI element in sight.
Philips Hue's iOS 7 redesign includes a new sidebar menu for easier navigation, with added support for sidebar notifications.
The latest update to Philips Hue also lets you reorder lights in the app's settings section and save the current status of lights as a scene from light control.
Also featuring an introductory demo, the new version of Philips Hue is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later.
