RadioShack Offering $100 Gift Card With iPad mini Purchases For The Holidays

December 17, 2013

RadioShack is offering holiday shoppers a free $100 gift card when a first-generation 16GB iPad mini (Wi-Fi Only) is purchased in-store. Plus, as if that isn't a great enough deal, the U.S. retailer is also offering several hundred dollars off the price of a new iPad mini when an eligible tablet is traded in.

The $100 gift card promotion is valid for the first-generation iPad mini model only, and more specifically, for the 16GB Wi-Fi Only iteration (the entry-level tablet). RadioShack's gift card can't be used towards the purchase of the iPad mini itself, however; it must be used from your next in-store visit onwards. But of course, if you're a regular RadioShack shopper, the deal could mean customers are able to effectively receive a $100 discount off the price of Apple's 7.9-inch tablet.

Besides the above promotion, RadioShack is also offering up to $350 off the price of Apple's iPad mini when a tablet is traded in as part of the retailer's “Trade & Save” program. The news reached us in a press release, which explains:

Available for a limited time, customers purchasing an iPad Mini (Wi-Fi 16GB) at RadioShack locations will receive a $100 RadioShack gift card for use on their next visit. In addition, customers can get as much as $350 toward their purchase of an iPad Mini when trading in an eligible iPad through RadioShack’s Trade & Save program. This iPad Mini promotion will be available to in-store customers for a limited time this holiday season.

The promotion is of course available for a limited-time only; usually, holiday-related deals such as this one disappear on Dec. 24, so be sure to act fast if you're interested.

If you're planning on ordering a first-generation iPad mini from the Apple Online Store, you'll also have to place the order soon. Because as Apple previously confirmed, Dec. 18 is the last day shoppers can place an online order for its first-generation iPad mini to be delivered in time for Christmas; the deadline for the second-generation 7.9-inch tablet has indeed already passed.
