Your Ideal Wine Cellar On iOS: Moleskine Journal 2.0 Introduces New Wine Journal

December 20, 2013
Moleskine Journal, the official iOS app of the eponymous stationery company, has just been updated to version 2.0 with the introduction of a new "toast-worthy" feature. Moleskine Journal 2.0 marks the arrival of the Wine Journal, the first in a series of Moleskine Passion Journals made available right from the app's iPad edition. Available via a $4.99 in-app purchase, the new Wine Journal lets you:
  • Easily profile a wine using the keyboard and context-sensitive data fields; or handwrite entries using the Zoom feature
  • Document the wine you profile with the built-in camera, or import an image from your photo library
  • Add, customize, organize, and edit your wine categories
  • Look up wine terms in the glossary; refer to the measurements & conversions chart
  • Give each wine a star rating
  • Choose the appropriate glass for a particular wine
  • Fill out the themed page layout
  • Add custom Wine Journal stickers to your entries
Personally, I'm looking forward to the Book Journal and the Film Journal to come to the Moleskine Journal app. Moleskine Passion Journals, by the way, also include the Wedding, Dessert, Recipe, Travel, Restaurant, Beer, Chocolate, Art, Home Life, Music, Wellness, Baby, Gardening, Style, Dog and Cat Journals. Moleskine Journal 2.0 is available now in the App Store for free. It's compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later. Note that although the update also includes "overall iOS 7 performance enhancement," the app is not yet optimized with an iOS 7-inspired design. The newly updated app also features a new Page-Turn Assist mode for easy page flipping and some passcode bug fixes. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
