Apple Product Database App Mactracker Updated With Info On Vintage Non-Mac Systems

January 25, 2014
Mactracker, the popular comprehensive Apple product database app created by Ian Page, has just received a notable update. Apparently, the latest update to Mactracker has been issued in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Macintosh, as it adds support for the computer line's predecessors and early contemporaries. Specifically, it adds the following vintage non-Macintosh Apple systems, displays, and mice to Mactracker's already impressive collection:
  • Apple I, Apple II, Apple II Plus, Apple III / Apple III Plus, Apple IIe / Apple IIe Enhanced, Apple IIc, Apple IIGS, Apple IIe Platinum, and Apple IIc Plus
  • Apple Monitor III, Apple Monitor II, Apple Monitor IIc, Apple IIc Flat Panel Display, AppleColor Monitor 100, ColorMonitor IIe/IIc and AppleColor Composite Monitor IIe/IIc, AppleColor Composite Monitor, AppleColor RGB Monitor, Apple Monochrome Monitor, and Apple Monochrome Monitor IIe
  • Apple Mouse / Apple Mouse IIc and Apple Mouse II / Apple Mouse IIe
Moreover, the update adds typical acoustical performance, where available, to MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro models. It also updates the support status for Apple's latest obsolete and vintage products. Also including other minor changes and additions, the new version of Mactracker is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later. Mactracker for Mac, which is available in the Mac App Store for free, has also been updated with the aforementioned early Apple system additions. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
