Calendars 5 By Readdle Lets You Easily Send And Accept Event Invitations
January 22, 2014
Readdle has just released what it says is the biggest update yet to its flagship calendar app, Calendars 5.
The highlight of the update is undoubtedly its addition of support for easily sending and accepting invitations to meetings and events.
To invite attendees to a meeting or event, just take advantage of Calendars 5's natural language input feature. As soon as you enter a name, as in, "Dinner with Hank and Marie," the app automatically suggests contacts you might want to invite and notifies them with an invitation.
On the receiving side, you can manage all of your event invitations in one place with the app's new notification center. There you can accept or reject invitations, whereupon notifications are automatically sent to the inviting party.

The latest update to Calendars 5 also adds support for importing .ics or iCalendar files from email attachments and extracting their data to be added as events to your calendar.
The new version of Calendars 5 by Readdle is available now as a free update or as a new $6.99 download. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later.
The aforementioned improvements have also made their way into the app's original edition, the free and lite Calendars by Readdle.
Calendars 5 is featured as an "essential app" in AppAdvice's Best Calendar Apps AppGuide.
