CES 2014: Bem Wireless Wants To Put A Bluetooth Speaker On Your Wrist

January 8, 2014
Since the market has rocketed through the stratosphere, buyers can find pretty much find any size and shape of Bluetooth speaker to purchase. But at CES 2014, Bem Wireless is breaking the mold with its Speaker Band. As the name suggests, the product is literally a small wrist-worn speaker. Capable of connecting to any Bluetooth device, including an iPhone or iPad, users can even answer phone calls and engage in conversations with the built-in microphone. A caller ID function lets users know exactly who is calling. The built-in battery can be charged with a micro-USB cable and features up to six hours of talk time. Along with a soft-touch wristband, the Speaker Band offers a power and Bluetooth LED indicator and buttons to play, pause, skip, and reverse music tracks. And unlike other pieces of wearable technology, the Speaker Band won’t break the bank. It will cost $49.99 and is expected to ship at the end of this month. Buyers can select from six different color choices – black, white, blue, red, gray, and green. Bem Wireless has consistently done a nice job of coming up with unique and interesting options, and the Speaker Band easily continues that trend.
