Creative Image-Sharing App Kanvas Sets Up Shop, Adds iTunes Integration And More
January 18, 2014
The creative image-sharing app Kanvas has just received another major update.
Kanvas is an app that lets you share "kanvases" or images with extra expressive elements thrown in, including text, stickers, overlays, drawings, and even audio.
And with its latest update, Kanvas provides a one-stop shop where you can find and purchase all available stickers, overlays, fonts, and backgrounds. The update also adds three new overlay packs (Doodle Pack, Ornaments Pack, Sayings Pack) and a new font pack (containing 60 new fonts).
The new Kanvas update also introduces the ability to add music to your kanvas. Now, instead of adding sound to your kanvas by recording a 60-second audio clip, you can just add a 30-second music clip of any of your favorite songs from iTunes.
Moreover, the update adds support for layers and for resizing and rotating layers. It also adds text alignment, kerning, and leading tools for text editing.
Private accounts, user blocking in chat, and changing credits to coins are now also supported in the new version of Kanvas.
Also including performance and interface enhancements, the new version of Kanvas is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later.
Released in July last year, Kanvas received its first update in August, which introduced remixing and reposting of kanvases along with support for sharing kanvases via Kik, email, and SMS. It was updated with a new design for iOS 7 along with other enhancements in November.
