Popular Song Lyric Annotation Website Rap Genius Launches Official Genius iOS App

Rap Genius has just released its official app on iOS. Simply called Genius, the app offers on-the-go access to Rap Genius' key features. An alternative to the likes of Song Meanings and A-Z Lyrics, Rap Genius is a website dedicated to the annotation and interpretation mainly of lyrics for songs. And with the new Genius app, you can check out Rap Genius' lyrical breakdowns and explanations easily and quickly right from your iOS device:

Have you ever been confused by a song’s lyrics? Or wondered what your favorite artist meant by a line? Now you'll never have to worry about this (or anything) ever again! Genius breaks down lyrics with line-by-line annotations, many contributed by the artists themselves.

Genius also lets you find lyrics for any song that's playing around you (thanks to Rap Genius' proprietary music recognition technology) and for all of the songs in your Music app library. Note, though, that in addition to lyrics, Genius also features annotated news, poetry, prose, transcripts, and other items of human culture. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later, Genius by Rap Genius is available now in the App Store for free.
