Moovit, the navigation app dubbed "the Waze for public transport," has just been updated to version 3.0 with a new design and several notable improvements. Moovit lets you easily plan your trips as it lets you search for the fastest, least crowded routes to your destination across different public transport modes (e.g. bus, train, light rail, subway, and ferry). It then lets you tap the best search result to activate its step-by-step navigation, including guidance with walking segments, dynamic ETA, and crowdsourced reports. Launched on iOS in February 2012, Moovit has just gone 3.0 with a complete makeover for iOS 7. Simpler and flatter, the newly updated app is now also said to be smarter and faster. As noted by Moovit developer Tranzmate, Moovit 3.0 also includes the following improvements:
Moovit 3.0 is available now in the App Store for free. It's optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later. Moovit supports transport operators in metro areas across the U.K. (England, Wales, Scotland), U.S. (Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York-New Jersey, Philadelphia, Portland, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington DC-Baltimore, Atlanta, San Diego, Austin), Canada (Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver), Australia (Sydney), Ireland (Dublin), Italy (Rome, Milan, Turin), Spain (Madrid, Barcelona), Brazil (Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro), Israel, and the Netherlands.
- Service alerts that give real-time updates from transit agencies, where available, with the option to subscribe to push notifications.

- And finally, our little orange dude got a facelift (and so did our logo)
