Popular third-party email app Boxer has just been updated with a number of new features.
The most welcome addition in version 4.4 is the ability to search all mail, including messages stored on the email server.
Users can also build custom mailboxes that include folders from any email account.
And to help make the app even more useful, users can select multiple emails to perform bulk actions and customize alert sounds for individual accounts. All unread, starred, and important emails from all accounts can now be viewed on one screen.
Finally, along with support for Exchange Global Address List, users can star or mark an email as important with a simple swipe gesture.
A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, Boxer can be downloaded from the App Store now for $5.99.
Before the most recent update, the last major revision arrived in late November. Version 4.0 brought universal support, a number of iOS 7 improvements, integration with Evernote, and much more.
Originally known as Taskbox, the app was renamed to Boxer last summer. Thanks to Exchange support, it’s definitely my go-to email app on my iPhone and iPad.
