WeTransfer Lets You Simply Transfer Photos And Videos Of Up To 10GB On The Go

March 6, 2014

WeTransfer, the file-sharing service that lets you simply “transfer your files from A to B, free of stress and of charge,” has finally gone mobile with the release of its official iOS app.

“Finally, WeTransfer enters the mobile domain,” the WeTransfer team notes. “We're making sure that you have one less thing to worry about and can focus on the things that matter. In fact we aim to change what used to be a hassle into a great experience by making our app as sexy as we possibly could.”

With the app, you can easily “transfer” your photos and videos on the go. Just select the photos and videos you want to share from your camera roll, enter at least one recipient email address along with an optional message, and tap “transfer.” While your transfer is on its way, the app shows a progress circle on a background with beautiful imagery.

Note that WeTransfer allows you to transfer files of up to 10GB in one go. Conveniently, the app also lets you swipe with two fingers to scroll between months, tap and hold to preview files, and pause your transfer and resume it later.

Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later, WeTransfer is available now in the App Store.

The app is free to download and use. But you can link it to your WeTransfer Plus account so you can keep track of your mobile transfers and store them in your account for easy access from any device. WeTransfer Plus costs $120 per year.
