Apple Is Adding Explore Tab, App Bundles, Previews And More To The App Store

June 2, 2014
Apple is making a bunch of improvements to its App Store platform. First, a new "Explore" tab in the iOS App Store application allows users to browse through the App Store using an intuitive interface. This should make it easier for iOS device owners -- and especially those new to the App Store -- to find applications on Apple's platform. A new "Editor's Choice" badge also serves as a sign post for would-be customers, allowing users to see the apps Apple thinks you should download. Users will be able to gain more information on an app before they purchase it thanks to app video previews, which should also reach the App Store in the near future. Finally, "App Bundles" allow users to pay one single price for a selection of grouped apps. Clever, right? Apple CEO Tim Cook noted on stage at WWDC that we'll see the new features reach the App Store "in fall." Image credit: The Verge
