Captain America: The Winter Soldier Goes Free As Apple’s New App Of The Week

It’s time to get your superhero powers ready. Apple has selected Gameloft’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier as the latest free App of the Week.
Released back in April, the official game ties in with the movie of the same name. Gamers play as the titular Captain America, and are tasked with leading a S.H.I.E.L.D. Strike Force to contain a massive global attack by several nefarious criminal organizations.
Players will get the chance to battle iconic villains like King Cobra, Taskmaster, and the Winter Soldier. The game’s original story was co-written by Marvel Comics writer Christos Gage.
With the online component, gamers can play in an asynchronous multiplayer mode. Users can even join a Clan and battle rival players.
During the game’s progress, players can learn new fighting techniques to supercharge Captain America’s attacks and unlock and upgrade a number of suits for the superhero.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is universal and designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. A number of in-app purchases are available.
Users will need to have iOS 7 or later installed.
