FIFA Official App Goes 2.0 With New Features For 2014 World Cup In Brazil

June 7, 2014
The official iOS app of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has just received a major update. Released last November, FIFA Official App, as the app is simply called, has been updated to version 2.0. As a result, it has effectively become the official iOS app of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which runs from June 12 to July 13 in Brazil. In addition to the app's usual offerings, including breaking news, interviews, photos, videos, and live scores from 197 leagues around the world, FIFA Official App 2.0 presents several notable pre-tournament features. These include the latest World Cup news, detailed profiles of the players and coaches from the 32 competing teams, and the schedule of all 64 games of the tournament. The updated app also lets you explore the host country Brazil and its participating stadiums and cities. FIFA Official App is also set to receive another update before the tournament begins, enabling you to:
  • Enter the Global Stadium and follow minute-by-minute action, live from all 64 games
  • #Joinin the biggest football conversation in history alongside friends, players, coaches and fellow fans
  • Keep up to date with match alerts from your favorite teams
  • Follow our daily Live Blog, which will give you up-to-the-minute coverage of everything happening at the tournament with exclusive photo and video coverage
  • Affect what happens at the World Cup by voting for Man of the Match
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later, FIFA Official App 2.0 is available now in the App Store for free.
