ShopKeep POS App For iPad Now Lets You Transact With Open Checks
The popular iPad point-of-sale app ShopKeep POS has just been updated with a significant new feature: support for checks.
With the new version of the app, you can now start a check and take payment for it only when you and your customer are all set and ready to go.
To open a check, just ring up a sale. But instead of choosing a tender type, choose to save the transaction as an open check. “You can leave this check open and build up the sale over time while your customer shops, dines or drinks,” the ShopKeep team notes. “You can help other customers and process other transactions in the meantime.”
To find your open checks, go to the app's control panel and select the new option called Checks. Pick an open check to view the transaction screen containing all of its relevant data and to close it upon completion of the sale.
ShopKeep POS was updated to version 2.0 last April with a new design for iOS 7, new payment flows, and other improvements.
