Sorry Apple: Space Gray 'iPhone 6' Images Emerge
June 17, 2014
Apple really wants to plug “iPhone 6” leaks. Unfortunately, for them anyway, the leaks continue. The latest images purportedly showing Cupertino’s next handset come from Seeko.co.kr and Weibo.
The images show an iPhone 6 dummy unit in space gray. As seen in previous leaks, the device has a slimmer profile than the iPhone 5s. It also has a relocated power button, new volume control design, and curved edges and corners. There also appears to be a different camera flash on the back. In one image, the iPhone 6 is placed alongside an iPhone 5s/5 and HTC One.
As per usual, there is no way to confirm whether these images are real, except to say they match images from previous rumors.
Last month, Sonny Dickson claimed that Apple was reaching out to Chinese officials to end the steady stream of leaks about the company’s next iPhone. Approximately 200 security officers are said to have been hired to get the job done. Obviously, the leaks have continued. By my count, this is the fourth batch of photos released this month that apparently show Cupertino's next handset.
Apple is widely expected to launch a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 model this fall. A 5.5-inch “phablet”-style model is also possible.
