Games Workshop's Blood Bowl To Launch On iPad Later This Month
The Warhammer-based sports strategy game Blood Bowl is expected to launch for iPad later this month, a recent report explains.
According to PocketGamer, the 1987 Warhammer-based sports game should make an appearance on both the App Store and the Google Play store in “early July,” meaning we don’t have long to wait until its release.
Developed by Focus Home Interactive and Cyanide Studio, the new title is expected to be similar to Blood Bowl’s 2009 release for consoles, handheld devices, and the PC. “It plays like turn-based American football, except the teams consist of Warhammer’s Orcs, Dwarves, Skaven, and the rest of the ugly brutes,” PocketGamer adds.
Beyond the tactics required of American football, gamers will also need to strategically select members of the aforementioned Warhammer races in order to build up the perfect team. Orcs might offer brute force, but you’ll need to make a careful selection in order to be successful in Blood Bowl.
Further features include a campaign mode, “a quick play single player option,” and a multiplayer mode; the multiplayer mode can take place either locally or online (where it’ll also be cross-platform).
Hopefully, we’ll see Blood Bowl launch on the App Store in the coming days. We’ll let you know once it’s available to download.
