Soundwave goes 3.0 to become your dedicated instant messenger for music

Soundwave sounds as though it were singing a markedly different tune with its latest update. The update, which brings the app to version 3.0, has turned the app into a music messaging app in addition to being a music sharing app.
Soundwave 3.0 introduces an all-new Music Messenger feature that lets you chat and share music with your friends or followers in private groups. You can share songs from any music app and listen to them right within the chatroom. You can also generate an instant playlist by swiping to see all of the songs that have been shared.
"This feature is perfect for planning your next house party, road trip or even trying to gather suggestions for the first dance at your wedding," the Soundwave team notes. "It’s there for you to use however you like."
In addition to the new Music Messenger feature, Soundwave 3.0 brings personalized recommendations, suggesting new people for you to follow based on your music tastes and listening history.
Furthermore, the new version of the app comes with a new design, featuring a new streamlined look for the profile page and the activity timeline.
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later, Soundwave 3.0 is available now on the App Store for free.
