Will the ‘iPhone 6’ feature a lighted Apple logo?
July 21, 2014
We’ve seen plenty of leaked photos in recent months purportedly showing the “iPhone 6.” The latest batch of photos come from uSwitch.
The photos reveal a completed back panel for the long-rumored 4.7-inch iPhone 6. It includes a polished finish, embedded logo, and antenna breaks at the top and bottom.
The report suggests the Apple logo will light up when new emails, SMS messages, and updates arrive. We have seen no evidence that this will be the case. Most likely, Apple is simply replacing the printed version of the logo found on previous iPhone models with an embedded version similar to those found on iPads.
Last week, we reported that production on the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 would begin this week, with production on the long-rumored 5.5-inch model set to begin in August. Apple is expected to unveil the company's 2014 iPhone lineup in September.
