Apple releases iOS 8 beta 6 to testing partners, not developers

Apple didn’t release iOS 8 beta 6 alongside Yosemite to developers yesterday morning like most had originally hoped. Instead, they have just released iOS 8 beta 6 to their testing partners only, according to a report from BGR.

This last beta was not sent to developers supposedly because it is so close to the final gold master (GM) build. After all, the iPhone 6 event is almost here as well, and Apple wouldn’t want to give any more away about the devices.

Apple’s testing partners must accept this build by September 6, just days before the supposed iPhone 6 event on Sept. 9.
