Apple is offering yet another nice app for free via the Apple Store app. This week, you can download Runtastic Pro, which normally costs $4.99.
To download Runtastic Pro now for free, you’ll need to first download the Apple Store app if you don’t already have it. It’s designed for the iPhone/iPod touch.
After opening up the app, select the “Stores” tab and then choose your nearest Apple Store. On that page, you’ll see a link titled “An app for college” next to the Runtastic Pro icon.
The app received its last major update back in March. Version 5.0 ushered in a completely new app structure and design. It also improved the post-activity feature with new automatic sync and hydration feature.
Runtastic Pro is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch. You can also download a feature-limited version of the app that is always free.
The company has also recently entered the wearable device race with the Runastic Orbit. Our own Bryan M. Wolfe took it for a spin and reports back in a detailed review. Unfortunately, the device won’t sync with Runtastic Pro, for now.
