Threadless now lets you fund your favorite designs to have them printed on T-shirts
August 12, 2014
Threadless has just launched a new funding feature initially for its new $20,000 design challenge. To enable the feature to rapidly gain traction, the popular community-driven T-shirt e-commerce website has also added it to the official Threadless app for iOS.
With the newly updated Threadless app, you can now help fund designs that you fancy and ultimately have them screen-printed on shirts to be sent to you.
When scrolling through submissions in the app's Vote section, you can tap the new Fund button on a design you like and enter your payment info just as you would on a normal purchase. Note, though, that your card won't be charged until the design gets fully funded, which happens when 50 people fund the design.
Threadless adds:
What can you do to help your fave designs get fully funded? Share it throughout your social stratosphere! The more you share and encourage your friends to fund it too, the better the chance it will be printed, and the tee will become yours. Don’t forget to score it, too; that helps the design rise to the top of the submissions, giving it a better visibility to be seen and funded.Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later, the new version of Threadless is available now on the App Store for free.
