Following Apple's iPhone 6 launch, Sprint introduces new 'iPhone for Life' plan
Following Apple’s unveiling of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, Sprint has introduced a new plan that allows subscribers to get the latest iPhone models every couple of years.
As reported by Bloomberg, the new plan is called “iPhone for Life.” Similar to the “iPhone Forever” scheme launched last year by a carrier in the Philippines, “iPhone for Life” essentially lets customers lease iPhones with unlimited data, texting and calling for $70 a month for individual subscribers or $180 a month for Family Share Pack customers.
After two years, subscribers can upgrade to the newest iPhone model. But with one important caveat that differentiates the “iPhone for Life” plan from the usual two-year carrier contract: they have to return their old iPhones to Sprint.

Apple’s latest smartphones were officially announced earlier today: the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus. Available beginning Friday, Sept. 19, the iPhone 6 starts at $199 and the iPhone 6 Plus starts at $299 with a typical two-year contract. Without a contract, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus retail at prices starting at $649 and $749, respectively.
