Social Q&A app Ask.fm updated with support for video answers and profile headers
The official iOS app of the popular question-and-answer social network Ask.fm has just been updated with new features and improvements.
The latest update to Ask.fm for iOS most notably adds the ability to answer questions with videos, aside from photos, animated GIFs, and, of course, plain text. Now, when responding to a question, you can tap the camera icon to shoot a video or upload one from your camera roll as your answer.
By the way, also while composing an answer, you can now pull down to see the question, in case you need to be reminded of or clarified about it.
The new version of the Ask.fm app also adds support for custom backgrounds in profile pages. Just tap on the header image in your profile to change it.
The updated app also includes the ability to filter friends, language support for Danish and Malay, and bug fixes.
Launched in June 2010, Ask.fm was acquired by the similarly named question answering-focused search engine Ask.com just last month.
Also last month, the official iOS app of another popular question-and-answer social network, Quora, was updated with several significant enhancements.
