Apple Pay is the new way to make purchases with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Both handsets offer an NFC antenna to make the payments.
Along with the NFC technology, the system works with Touch ID and a Secure Element chip built in to iPhone 6 devices.
The program will start with MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. A number of retailers like Macy’s, Walgreens, Staples, Subway, and McDonalds will accept ApplePay. Of course, you can use Apple Pay at Apple Stores as well.
Online purchases can also be made with Apple Pay.
It will launch next month and be available as an update to iOS 8.
Apple Pay will only be available in the U.S. to begin, but Apple’s Eddy Cue said the program will soon expand to other countries.
