We expect Apple to unveil its new iPad lineup on Thursday, Oct. 16. With this in mind, we’d like to offer our loyal readers some important dates for the coming weeks.
On Tuesday, Oct. 14, AppAdvice will publish our annual iPad trade-in guide. Here, we’ll highlight the best places to get some serious cash (or gift cards) for your older tablets.
Pencil in Wednesday, Oct. 22 as the day Apple releases iOS 8.1 to the public. This update will turn on Apple Pay for the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and likely the next-generation iPads.
In 2013, Apple delayed the launch of the iPad mini with Retina display until 10 days after the iPad Air arrived in stores. We don’t expect the same thing to happen this year.
If past practice is followed, the “iPad Air 2″ and third-generation iPad mini should be available on Friday, Oct. 31. It’s entirely possible, however, that they could launch one week earlier on Oct. 24.
